Community and Business Partners through their Guardian Angel Entrepreneurs Network has been selected by the Northwest Regional Development Agency (NWDA) to deliver one-to-one mentoring in an exciting Mentoring Programme in Lancashire, Cheshire, Greater Manchester and, as part of a wider network across the Northwest. The Mentoring Programme gives leaders and senior managers a priceless opportunity to work with a dedicated mentor who will develop their leadership and management potential to help them grow their business.

Mentoring gives leaders and senior managers the chance to reflect on their own personal and business performance. It provides the motivation to build on business success by nurturing strategies that will enable leaders and senior managers to become more innovative and entrepreneurial and therefore enable their business to become more competitive.

Established in 1993 The Guardian Angel Entrepreneurs Network has assisted 100s of companies in developing and achieving success. Guardians are drawn from every walk of life and business and they help their peers nurture a business and provide it with the expertise to flourish.

The Guardian Angel Entrepreneurs Network offers access to a wide range of quality assured mentors who will work to a quality framework accredited by the International Standards for Mentoring Programmes in Employment (ISPME).

We will provide clients with a shortlist of suitable mentors to choose from. Mentors will be carefully selected based on their personality, skills and experience. All Guardian Angel mentors are experienced, knowledgable and skilled business people who give their time freely to support and develop someone with less experience.

The Mentoring Programme will enable clients to set the goals and both the client and mentor to set the objectives of their relationship. Clients dictate the tone and the pace. Typically a relationship will last between 6-12 months and take place in an informal setting away from the workplace.

Could you be a business mentor?

Lived through the highs and lows of running a business? Got experience, knowledge and wisdom that you can share with your peers? Made a real difference in your business?

If so, why not join the Mentoring Programme as a mentor and give something back to your local business community?

Mentors will listen, challenge and offer insight, knowledge and above all experience, to inspire leaders and managers to develop their ability and potential.

As part of this quality accredited programme, mentors will receive induction and expert guidance to understand the mentoring process fully. Mentors will also be supported to develop their mentoring skills through a programme of training and networking events. Mentoring is voluntary; however, out of pocket expenditure such as travel costs will be reimbursed.
